The Line (2020) Review

The Line is a tricky puzzle game with a Snake-like twist. I ran into a few small bugs that I think will be patched soon, but otherwise the game is a rather fun and unique concept. 6/10

Warriors of the Nile (2020) Review

Warriors of the Nile is a turn-based tile-based strategy where you control a party of three heroes and upgrade them after each battle. It’s fun and definitely something I want to come back to. 7/10

Spooky Chase (2020) Review

PR: Spooky Chase is an arcade platformer with (thankfully) short levels where you compete against your past movements. It’s difficult but interesting, and requires a lot of forethought. 6/10

Dungeon Throne (2020) Review

PR: Dungeon Throne is rather simple and could use more layout variation, but it offers a fun platforming challenge as you magic your way through procedurally generated dungeons. 7/10

Fae Tactics (2020) Review

Fae Tactics is a turn-based strategy featuring Peony and her pet bird/dog as they travel through a dangerous world. The pixel art is beautiful, and combat definitely requires some planning. 7/10

Destropolis (2020) Review

Destropolis is a top-down survival shooter with a minimalist art style and plenty of weapons/items to keep you entertained. It gets tricky later on, but it’s a blast and features online scores. 7/10

The Machine’s Garden (2020) Review

The Machine’s Garden is a series of path finding puzzles, each trickier than the last. The atmosphere reduces the stress of these puzzles, and you unlock short “journal” entries as you go. 7/10

Bookbound Brigade (2020) Review

Bookbound Brigade is a 2D platformer where you control a mob of classic fictional characters, and traverse through a land of broken stories. It’s an interesting concept. 6/10

RB: Axolotl (2020) Review

PR: Far from its cutesy appearance, RB: Axolotl is a visual novel with dark undertones and a plot centering around finding your place in the world. It’s interesting, but it made me quite anxious. 6/10

Puzzle Forge Dungeon (2020) Review

PR: Puzzle Forge Dungeon is a weird mix of a light combat system and the puzzle game 2048. It’s not bad, but it’s definitely a quirky niche that some people will love and others will hate. 6/10
