LaserZone :: drones, kidnappings, and amnesia :: top down sci-fi puzzle game where you rotate and interact with objects/lasers to pass through levels. It’s on the casual side of this subgenre. 6/10
Starlight X-2: Galactic Puzzles :: space sudoku, interplanetary manipulation, and 50 new puzzles every day :: place stars to light up planets, and place asteroids to block excess light. 6/10
Jetscout is a modern take on Lunar Lander with more interesting levels and an actual plotline. It’s not something I’m good at, but Easy mode gives enough lives to prevent frustration. 7/10
Hexteria is a strategic board game where you need to take over the board by rotating captured tiles. It’s a simple concept but ends up being a lot of fun. 7/10
Claws & Feathers 3 is a bird-based puzzle game where you have to slide them into groups of three or more to remove them from the board. It gets harder with locked birds and keys as you proceed. 6/10
Fallen Knight is a difficult 2D platformer that plays similar to the Megaman Zero games, with the addition of a parry system and slightly clunkier controls. Give it a try if you found MMZ easy. 6/10
Valley is a short adventure game that provides a warning against destroying our environment in a fantasy setting. It’s a fairly linear and casual game, unless you fall off a tower like I did. 6/10
La Rana is a short (15min) and free 3D platformer where you play as a frog. It’s fun for as short as it is. 6/10
For Sparta is a difficult arena battler where you need to survive against waves of enemies with no healing in between. A variety of upgrades make it more interesting. 6/10
While a bit rough around the edges, BloodLust 2: Nemesis has a lot of potential as an action-packed dungeon crawler with an item system like Path of Exile’s. Expect a lot of customizable builds. 6/10
