Skyrift (2019) Review

Skyrift is a reaction-based game about deflecting projectiles, and while I had a hard time with the colors, it would be a lot of fun if I got better at it. The leaderboard adds competition, too. 6/10

Mazes and Mages 2 (2019) Review

Mazes and Mages 2, despite appearances, is actually a fun card battle dungeon crawler. It’s easy to pick up, and the abilities add a significant amount of strategy/complexity to your battles. 6/10

Kerfuffight (2019) Review

Kerfuffight is a multiplayer party game where you pick up a variety of weapons and try to destroy the other players before they destroy you. It’s easy to pick up and pretty fun in groups. 6/10

Depixtion: Halloween (2019) Review

Depixtion: Halloween is a new take on Picross puzzles, where you have three layers, each of up to two different colours, that are composited to create the final image. It’s harder than normal. 6/10

Catch the Head (2019) Review

Catch the Head is a game show from hell. The atmosphere and dialogue alone makes it worth looking into, but if you’re a fan of difficult 3D platformers, you should definitely give it a shot. 6.5/10

Monster Sanctuary (2019) Review

EA: Monster Sanctuary is like a mashup between Pokemon and a metroidvania, and it’s amazing. You can train monsters AND use them in the overworld for navigation, something I wish Pokemon had. 8/10

Stones of Solace (2019) Review

Stones of Solace is a game that reminds you to take a few minutes each day to relax, and do something creative yet not stressful. It’s not what I expected, but it’s something I appreciate. 7/10

Gods of Havoc: Into the Void (2019) Review

Gods of Havoc: Into the Void is a retro-themed strategy game where you convert planets into worshipping you, and then build up space fleets until you control the galaxy. It’s odd but fun. 6/10

Last Rose (2019) Review

Last Rose is an charming fantasy RPG about two former enemies who are cursed to team up together, at least for a short while. The consumable item-based attacks are an interesting mechanic too! 7.5/10

Overseas (2019) Review

Overseas is a collection of experimental art pieces, and it is an experience. It might be a walking simulator, but if you’re into glitchy aesthetics at all, you’ll want to check this out! 8/10
